This ensures that the speakers will be relevant and can provide valuable insights and guidance.
Each speaker will host one to two hours of live group mentor-mentee Zoom sessions, offering plenty of opportunities for Q&A. The speakers will also receive a brief description of each participant’s background and credentials, provided by the participants themselves. This helps ensure a more aligned, participant-centered approach. Our invited speakers will be a diverse mix of matched residents from different levels and various specialties. The exchange of contact information will depend on the speaker's preferences. Sessions will be held on Saturdays or Sundays between 3 PM and 8 PM Central Time, from August through November.
While the speakers may not officially represent their residency programs, they can offer informal recommendations based on shared information and interactions during the event. Although these recommendations are not guaranteed, they can potentially open doors for some participants.
Residency Interview Master’s Course ($899)
The interview phase is of paramount importance, and it's critical not to underestimate its significance. Even highly qualified applicants can face challenges and, in the worst case, get unmatched if they don't perform well during interviews. Conversely, candidates who may be considered average on paper but excel in their interview skills can secure a match.
The National Resident Matching Program’s (NRMP) survey identified several key factors that program directors consider when evaluating and ranking residency candidates. The interpretation of this data means that the candidate’s academic profile, Step scores, ERAS CV, summary of USCE, Personal Statement, and LORs are vital components that can help secure interview invitations. However, the applicant’s interview performance can make a crucial difference in your ranking and ultimately define your match result.
Remember this formula:
First Phase. Candidate’s Profile = Interview Invites
Second Phase. Candidate’s Interview Performance = Rank (High or Do Not Rank)
= Match Result
Group Interview Online Prep Sessions are conducted through Zoom every Sunday from October to November, typically from 1 PM to 5 PM Central Time.
